Next week, Unifor members across Alberta will be showing their union pride! We know the pandemic, the holidays, and the provincial government’s labour agenda has many Unifor members feeling very anxious right now. We’re all in this together, so let’s introduce a collective splash of colour to the workplace before the end of the year.
The provincial government is counting on workers staying quiet and invisible while they dismantle our unions with Bill 32 and our health and safety with Bill 47.
But we won’t stay silent. On December 10 we invite Unifor members to wear their Unifor swag (t-shirt, hat, lanyard etc) and be seen, both in the workplace and online.
Whether you're working from home or going to work, wear your swag and take a picture to show solidarity with other Unifor members across Alberta.
Post your pic on social media, use the hashtag #UniforProud, and tag @UnifortheUnion (Twitter) or UniforCanada (Facebook). Feel free to send your photo to email@example.com so we can share it too. You can join the Alberta Whatsapp group by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org.
Don't forget: on Thursday, December 10 wear your own swag and encourage your fellow members to do the same. Together, let's show that we're united and proud to be Unifor members in Alberta!
We look forward to seeing your pictures. Check out unifor.org/alberta for more information.
